Stewart’s Shops Gives Back to Your Community!

01/05/15

In the past week, Stewart’s Shops donated $7,635 to 15 organizations in our communities. These donations included $274 in product, $4,911 in gift certificates, and $2,450 in monetary support.

For many years, Stewart’s Shops has been giving back more than $2 million annually to our shops’ communities and neighborhoods. Part of that commitment includes matching our customers’ donations of nearly ¾ million dollars during our Holiday Match campaign. The Dake Family foundations also contribute $2 million of Stewart’s stock to local charities each year. The corporation buys the stock back from the charities. This benefits Stewart’s employees by increasing their percentage of ownership to nearly 40%.

Here is a list of organizations which were given donations the week of December 29th:

Boy Scouts, Troop 327, Newburgh
First Baptist Church, Little Falls
Hoosick Falls Central School
JCEO, Plattsburgh
Jeff Aurelia Scholarship Fund
